Business Class launched in Tyumen Region
June 21, 2017 – Sberbank and Google supported by the Government of the Tyumen Region launched Business Class, a programme to support entrepreneurs. This is a free project aimed at supporting and developing micro- and small business in the region. Both novice and experienced entrepreneurs can participate in the programme. The registration will open on the site www.business-class.pro on June 21. The project will also run in the Omsk Region, Khanty-Mansiisk and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Districts.
“The programme should incentivise Tyumen residents to start their own business,” said Governor of the Tyumen Region Vladimir Yakushev. “It should help us identify potential entrepreneurs who are willing to create new products and jobs. It is very important to draw attention to business as a class, this will contribute to enhancing the prestige of entrepreneurship.”
Training will start on September 28, 2017 and last for five months. The programme will have two modes – online and intensive. Residents of all Russian regions will be able to participate in the first mode. Online modules are dedicated to the development and evaluation of business models, analysis of customer preferences and markets, financial analysis, sales and other business issues. The intensive mode is available in the region where the programme is carried out and includes both online and full-time training.
“The Tyumen Region has high entrepreneurial potential, it is one of the top 10 Russian regions offering the most attractive business conditions. For this very reason Business Class is starting here today,” said Andrei Sharov, Sberbank’s Vice-President. “We are sure that the implementation of the programme in the Tyumen Region will contribute to the rise of numerous successful entrepreneurs who will boost the regional economy.”
Participants will be able to choose one of the two paths: “I would like to develop existing business” and “I would like to start my own business”. They will be offered a course depending on the chosen path given their main interests and needs. Experienced entrepreneurs will be able to have a fresh look at their company: analyse its business model, identify its strengths and weaknesses, and assess financial performance. Novice entrepreneurs will learn about the ways to find a business idea, build operational processes, and develop a business plan. The paths are unique and have been developed by the leading Russian business experts.
“The Tyumen Region is one of the 20 regions where Business Class will be launched. We would like to thank the Government for the comprehensive support, we would not have been able to start the project without it,” said Marina Zhunich, GR Director of Google Russia. “Business Class is aimed at assisting existing entrepreneurs of the region with developing their business and providing novice entrepreneurs with a possibility to put their ideas into practice. The main advantage of the programme is that it is oriented towards practical skills: as little theory as possible, as much applied knowledge as possible.”
“We are sure that Business Class will boost entrepreneurial activity, contribute to the opening of new enterprises and development of the region’s economic potential,” said Alexander Anashchenko, Chairperson of the Zapadno-Sibirsky Bank of Sberbank. “We would like to provide everyone with equal opportunities to participate in Business Class for free, so that more and more small businesses could be launched in our region and in the country, whose owners would adopt a well-structured and professional approach to business development. The more professional entrepreneurs are, the more important their contribution to the country’s economy is.”
The registration in free programme Business Class is the first step towards running successful business.
