Sberbank customers in Kazakhstan can now transfer money to Russia using phone number
Sberbank has launched money transfers to Russia using a phone number in Kazakhstan. The new feature is available via the Sberbank Online Kazakhstan app. Now Sberbank subsidiary’s customers can transfer money to the bank’s customers in Russia quickly, conveniently, and securely by knowing only their phone number.
Open the Transfers section via the Sberbank Online Kazakhstan app for iOS or Android and then tap To Sberbank Customer in Russia to make a transaction. Input a recipient’s phone number associated with their account or bank card. The transfer fee will be 0.95%, with the daily transaction ceiling of RUB 150,000. Transfers are denominated in tenge and will be converted to the currency of the card. Funds will be credited instantly.

Similar agreements have been reached with several banks in Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and other countries. However, the main goal is to make the transactions using a phone number bilateral. We are actively working on it.”
