Sberbank customers to receive nearly 19 mln of state benefits automatically

June 26, 2020, Moscow — In July, under Russian President’s decree No.412 as of June 23, 2020, families with children will receive RUB10,000 in additional one-off payments per child under the age of 16. The payments will be made through the Pension Fund of Russia.

Between April and June, Sberbank credited some 18.7 mln payments worth over RUB223 bln to families with children under 3 years old and 3–16 years old. The families that had received the benefits before don’t need to apply for the next payment, as the money will be credited to the account specified earlier automatically.

The parents that have not applied for the benefits yet can do so until October 1 and get both payments together. Only Russian citizens currently living inside the country can apply for the benefits; their children need to be Russian citizens too and must turn 16 before July 1.

To receive the allowance, you’d need the child’s birth certificate, his or her SNILS individual insurance number, and bank account details. You must also be registered on the GosUslugi state services website. You can see the bank details, apply for a card, and confirm your GosUslugi account remotely, without visiting an offline branch, via Sberbank Online.

More information about the benefits and how to apply for them is available on the bank’s website at https://www.sberbank.ru/ru/promo/corona_benefits.
