Sberbank starts accepting applications for participation in International Cybersecurity Congress 2019
- Sberbank will hold its first Global Cyber Week — an international week of cybersecurity that will include practical cybersecurity conference OFFZONE, an international online cybersecurity risk management training session, and the International Cybersecurity Congress (ICC).
- Taking place for the second time, the ICC will be held in Moscow.
- The ICC’s website has begun accepting participation applications.
5 March 2019, Moscow – Sberbank is now accepting applications for participation in its International Cybersecurity Congress (ICC), which will take place in Moscow on 20–21 June. The World Economic Forum’s Centre for Cybersecurity (WEF C4C) will take part in the ICC. The event will be supported by the Russia Association of Banks and Data Economy Autonomous Non-profit Association.
From 5 March, you can apply to participate in the ICC on https://icc.moscow. Applications are being accepted earlier this time because last year there were two times more participation requests than places at the event.
The ICC is an international cross-industry platform for global dialogue between representatives of government agencies, international business leaders and key experts on the most pertinent and acute issues of cybersecurity in the context of globalisation and digitalisation.
The first ICC took place on 5–6 July 2018 in Moscow. It brought together more than 2,500 participants and around 700 companies from over 50 countries. The ICC was also attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Special attention should be paid to securing the global information space. It’s clear that the number of threats and risks continues to grow. According to the World Economic Forum, in 2017 damage caused by cyberattacks alone amounted to around a trillion US dollars. Experts say that losses will grow larger and larger if we fail to take effective measures. Russia, like other countries, is facing these challenges,” said Mr Putin in his speech at ICC 2018.
This year the ICC will be the centrepiece of Global Cyber Week, which will take place on 17–21 June. Practical cybersecurity conference OFFZONE will be held on 17–18 June, and on 19 June there will be an international online cybersecurity risk management training session, which will let major global companies, including from the financial sector, check how prepared they are to fend of attacks on infrastructure.
