Sber among world’s Top 3 largest merchant acquirers again
Sber has made it to the Nilson Report’s Top 3 merchant acquirers worldwide for the second year in a row processing 30.3 bn transactions in 2020, up from 20.6 bn in 2019 (3rd place), and 14.4 bn in 2018 (5th place).
The number of transactions processed by all members of the ranking added 2.8% y-o-y, with Sber showing the biggest increase of 47%, which amplified the bank’s share in the overall number of transactions among the ranked companies to 8.6% from 6%.
